EXECUTIVE SUMMARY / COMMENTARY:

"Forces of Nature" -- a new age love story of a betrothed man getting involved with another woman the day before his wedding day. And strangely enough, his betrothed accepted him after his little escapade of "sowing of wild oats." And sow them he did. Though no bedroom nudity was seen, there was no doubt.

Not a violent movie, but definitely a sex movie engineered for adolescents. Lots of sexual references and innuendo, stripping behind a translucent plastic room divider, some partial nudity, vulgar open mouth kissing and licking, with changing of clothes in front of another. Also stealing many points from the Sex/Homosexuality Investigation Area was vulgar dancing strip tease style in a gay bar, flash scenes of skin normally not exposed to the public, and the pressing of a male pelvis against a female posterior. There's more, but hopefully the point is made.

Drugs/Alcohol lost points big time, too. A lot of booze, drinking, and drinking to drunkenness was noted PLUS smoking dope. But of the most serious point losses were "You are a god -- a god amongst men." by the quintessential actress AND "Jesus is a track headed for God's wherehouse" painted on a laundromat wall. On the surface (no pun intended) this phrase might not seem all that bad, but listen to what it is saying about the Gospel of Jesus -- His "track" (direction and path) for us. "Wherehouse" is not only a euphemism of the house of ill repute it is also a term describing a non-specific destination. As Christians, we KNOW where we are going! We have His Word on it!

    Murder/Suicide (M)(3):
  • None noted


    (1) As noted in CAP Special Report-001, "Investigation Area and Scoring Trend," of the six CAP Investigation Areas, Impudence/Hate was the strongest presence in all four movie classifications. It has a strong revelation about the entertainment media.

    (2) The use of the three/four letter word vocabulary without God's name is incorporated into the Impudence/Hate Investigation Area. The use of God's name with or without the three/four letter word vocabulary is incorporated into the Offense to God Investigation Area. There is no duplication. As required of the Holy Scriptures, unless God's name is used with reverence to His glory and praise, its use is considered in vain, whether literal or euphemistic.

    (3) Only portrayal of successful murder or suicide are incorporated into Murder/Suicide. Presentation of attempts to commit murder or suicide and deaths by police action or war are incorporated into Wanton Violence/Crime.
